Transfer of Equity & Re-mortgaging

Sometimes the named owner of a property needs to be changed. This can be for capital gains or inheritance tax reasons, but more commonly following separation or divorce.

We are experienced in matrimonial conveyancing and we’re here to assist you with transfers of property.

Quite often, to tie in with a transfer of ownership, a property needs to be re-mortgaged to raise funds. This is a simple process which we can sort out for you.

Of course, remortgaging of a property can be required on its own. This is now typically dealt with by banks and building societies, but if you need any advice we’ll be happy to help.

Lifetime mortgages

For those aged 50 or over, taking a lifetime mortgage can mean having a lump sum of cash to enjoy retirement with.

A solicitor is needed to implement the mortgage and advise on important legal consequences. We can act for you in such cases and we will be pleased to meet with you at our offices to discuss your case.
